Tiffany And Co. Stirling Silver Ring Caused My Finger To Turn Green..is That Possible?

I just got the ring yesterday and hadn’t taken it off until this morning and I noticed a green ring around my finger. I went to the Tiffany’s store to purchase it so I know it’s not a fake and it says its sterling silver. Should I return it and complain?
