Other Than Uggs, What Are Great Warm Boots For Winter?

I know it’s still a tiny bit early because winter is coming in about 3 months but anyways. I live in Canada and winter here is freakishly cold.
I’m not a fan of uggs and the chunky kind of boots. I don’t like those kind of boots. I also need something that won’t hurt my feet when I walk to school. I also don’t mind what brand that could be and what they look like but nothing hideous.
So, any ideas on boots suited for me?
