Can I Spray My Suede Steve Madden Boots With The Same Stuff I Spray My Uggs With?

I just got some new Steve Madden boots, theyre black and theyre suede…I already have a bunch of uggs and i spray them so the water wont ruin them…so can I use the same waterproofing spray i use for my uggs? or will that ruin the suide?
